About Us

Membership in the Rotary Club of Carmel has grown in the past few years, and as of the spring of 2007, we are about 150 members that include the most prominent professional, civic, and business leaders of our community. Our club activities include community service projects both here at home and abroad. And while we work hard to tackle serious issues as wiping out polio, improving literacy, and helping poor people in far away countries have clean drinking water, we have great fellowship, camaraderie and lots of fun.

Our weekly meetings combine good food, good time and great programs that inform, delight, and inspire. We gather for lunch at noon; the program begins at 12:30 and ends no later than 1:30 sharp. Our speakers come from academia, business, medical community, not-for-profit organizations, law enforcement, the arts, and other areas of interest.

Our club has many active committes and each member is involved with at least one of them. Committees include Fellowship, Membership, Public Relations, Youth Exchange, Rotary Foundation, Weekly Bulletin, Student Scholarships, Farmers' Market, Freedom Ball, Carmelfest, High School Interact Club, Community Service, International Service, Vocational Service, Club Service, Mama's Cupboard, and many more.

Once a year the club presents the Rotary Outstanding Service Award to a non-Rotarian citizen of Carmel. Their name is announced at the annual Freedom Ball and plaque bearing their name is enshrined at the Monon Plaza.

If you are interested in joining our club, please go to "Joining Process".
